Lynda Williams is author of the Okal Rel Saga, an addictive character-driven exploration of the themes and moral challenges of our era set in a distant future where the cultures of Sevildom and Rire have found very different answers to the question of how to live with powerful technology without empowering self-destruction.
She lives and works in Northern B.C. where she is currently Associate Regional Director of the College of New Caledonia. Lynda holds three post-graduate degrees: a B.A. Liberal Studies with strengths in Chemistry and Creative Writing, a M.L.S. from the University of Toronto and a M.Sc. Computation from McMaster University.
Her blog, Reality Skimming, features glimpses of the Okal Rel universe in the world including contributions by readers. She also twitters a line from one of the novels a day (or so) and has an Okal Rel Universe page on facebook. Google “Okal Rel” to find more, including online stories from the Okal Rel universe, digital stories on utube, and the messy chest of goodies on the Okal Rel website.
The Okal Rel Saga is a ten novel series published by Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy. Lynda also edits the Okal Rel Legacies series from sister press Absolute XPress.
