In-world Reading Today!

Fellow Quillian, Chuck Heintzelman (Chuck Hamelin inSL) will be reading his original short story “The Train Bandits” this Saturday evening.

This is the third of our new monthly events, occurring on the third Saturday of each month at 6pmSLT (9pmET/6pmPT).

The reading will be recorded for use in our upcoming Quillian Podcast, but you’re urged to attend now as the podcast won’t be available for a few months yet.

The reading will occur in the Workshop building, on the second floor beside the traditional meeting circle.  The reading is a voice event, so attendees are encouraged to come with their “ears on” and their microphones off.  Since the event is also being recorded, we request that you refrain from using audio ‘gestures’ or other devices that create ambient noise.

A ‘Golden’ opportunity!

Fellow Quillian, Chuck Heintzelman, has done it again!  He has a new piece of fiction in print, debuting in the online version of Golden Visions Magazine.  You can find his story, Voice Mail, in the “flash fiction two” section of the current issue.

You can read more of Chuck’s fiction on his website, StoryChuck.com.

Congratulations, Chuck!

Chuck adds another link to The Chain Story

Chuck Heintzelman’s story, “The Train Bandits” is the latest entry into The Chain Story Project.  The Chain Story is a collection of free fiction, direct from the authors, for readers to sample online.  Chuck’s entry is a wonderful adventure tale for all ages.

Chuck Heintzelman is a software engineer living in the Pacific Northwest.  Each day he juggles his passion of writing with his full-time job, school-age children, and the inevitable curve ball life likes to throw.  He primarily writes middle-grade and young-adult fantasy because, as he puts it, “my mental age hovers somewhere between that of a 12 and 14 year old.”
